Founded in the summer of 2005, the Capital Girls Lacrosse Club is the premier high school girls lacrosse club in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. The club currently consists of six teams representing high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors. For players with a passion for the game, the club provides the opportunity to showcase their talents in some of the most prestigious tournaments in the country.
Capital Girls Lacrosse Club teams participate in three to four fall and summer tournaments, and players are encouraged to take advantage of winter lacrosse opportunities. For freshmen, these opportunities have included weekly indoor games in the National Cathedral School Lacrosse League; for sophomores, indoor intrasquad games and, along with juniors, four clinics run by college coaches.
Capital Girls Lacrosse Club is a non-profit organization with 501-C status. The club is a parent-administered, volunteer organization.
